Dear All
Further to JCQ requirements I have attached 2015/16 instructions for
controlled assessments, coursework and the people present in exam
rooms.
These instructions must be forwarded electronically to each subject
leader/teacher within the centre.
These document provide subject teachers, senior leaders and heads of
centre with a single, definitive source of generic guidance and
instructions for legacy GCSE/GCE qualifications.
Please note for all formal external assessments
· Support and encouragement may be offered at any point up until the
time that candidates enter the examination room.
From that moment onwards they are under examination conditions and the
strict protocols must be adhered to.
· Candidates must be instructed to write their name exactly as it
appears on the attendance register (full legal forename and surname).
When collecting scripts invigilators must check that the names on the
scripts match exactly the details on the attendance register.
Can I ask on behalf of IT that requests for Exam WP accounts are
submitted at least 24 hours before controlled assessments are
conducted.
Please include details specific to your qualification – number of
accounts needed, programmes and access restrictions etc.
Your qualification specification guidelines will give instructions of
level of control needed.
Eg. a maximum of six hours to write up under High level of control
ICT security issues during the High level of
control phase
The Specification is very clear about what is and is
not allowed during the High level of control phase
in relation to ICT
• Students can use a laptop or pc.
• They can use spell checks and grammar checks.
• They must not have access to the Internet/e-mail
or secondary sources.
This work must be kept secure after each session.
Candidate research folders
• All students’ work must be retained by your centre
at all times.
• Research work and completed work must be
stored securely at your centre.
Thanks
Alison
